CBDALN Event: Political learning & critical data literacy in the primary school – with Dr Christian Gößinger and Mirjam Wenzel

In the next event of our Practice Series on May 31st, Dr Christian Gößinger and Mirjam Wenzel from the PoliMeR research project will speak about political learning in the field of digital education. As part of their research, they have been examining how to educate about privacy, filter bubbles and co., and foster critical big data and algorithmic literacy in primary schools. They will report on their insights from this research and their experiences in practically creating educational resources about digital technologies for primary school children. After their input, there will be room for questions and discussion.

About the speakers:
Dr. Christian Gößinger, Teacher for Primary Schools, since 2018 seconded to the Chair of Pedagogy (Primary School) of the University of Regensburg/Germany. Mirjam Wenzel has studied education for primary school in Regensburg. Since 2020 she has been working in the project polimer at the university of Regensburg.
